We absolutely LOVED every part of it. Our guide went the extra mile to make this experience memorable. If you are in Cape Town, you cannot miss this. We also got to see the amazing, cute penguins up close. They are so adorable! I may have taken too many photos lol. The entire trip is covid-conscious too for those who wonder about this.

I love penguins and I was looking forward to seeing these cute African penguins at Boulder Beach.
There is quite a walk to the penguin area from the bus drop off, but once there you can walk on a wooden walkway for quite a bit. You can see them on land, in the rocks, in the water and in their burrows.
It was quite fun to see them pretty close, but I understand the need to protect them from some folks that would try to touch them or in any way hurt them. They are quite comical and it was fun to see them where they live instead of in an aquarium or zoo.
Cape of Good Hope was interesting and something to think about being at the bottom of the continent of Africa. There are 2 lighthouses. One, not in use, is at the top of a steep climb. The other one, closer to the sea on Cape Point, and therefore more useful to the ships; has a little trolley to get you up to that area. It is included in the price of admission.
There is a great view from there of the Cape of Good Hope and has the cleanest air in the world as it comes from Antarctica. All air levels (pollution) in the world is compared to this air as it is considered the cleanest air in the world. Breathe in deep when you are there! Just be advised that there are a lot of baboons in the area. One got in the train with us and others were on top of car roofs. Do not have any food on you or they will find it!
We went wine tasting and lunch at Groot Constantia and it was a lovely experience. In all a great day in Cape Town!
